We are delighted to reveal that the Transport Broker Awards 2012 was hosted at the stunning Celtic Manor Resort and Spa on Saturday January 7th 2012. The immaculate venue was seen on the world stage last year when it hosted the international golf tournament, the Ryder Cup 2010.
The theme of this year’s event was glitz and glamour and the 250 invited guests all more than lived up to the theme, dusting off their smartest suits and sparkliest dresses to walk the red carpet in style.
This year the Transport Broker Awards hosted the final of the UK’s largest online beauty pageant, Miss Limo 2012, for the very first time.
Gemma Roberts from the Vale of Glamorgan was crowned the winner of the Miss Limo 2012 contest on the night by the current Miss Universe Great Britain. Please see our Miss Limo section for full details of the competition and exclusive pictures from the night.
The annual Transport Broker Awards seeks to reward and celebrate the hard work of the employees and agents who work across the companies which make up the Transport Broker Group namely Limo Broker, Coach Broker, Cars for Stars and Hire Limos.
This year the special event had a distinctly glamorous feel as the awards ceremony also played host to the final of the nationwide beauty contest to find Miss Limo 2012.
The Transport Broker Group were delighted to welcome reigning beauty queen, Chloe-Beth Morgan, the current Miss Universe Great Britain to the event. The former Miss Wales was guest of honour at the gala dinner and also presented the winner of the Miss Limo title, Gemma Roberts, with her crown.
As well as walking away with the coveted title of Miss Limo 2012, Gemma Roberts will also become the face of the exclusive Audi R8 stretch limo which was finally revealed by the Transport Broker Group on the night of the awards.
The Audi R8 Limo will become the signature limousine for Limo Broker and is being created in association with bespoke vehicle manufacturers, Carbonyte UK, headed up by Chris Wright who helped introduced the secret project on the night. An exclusive rendered 3D video depicting how the finished Audi R8 limo will look was unveiled to the invited audience at the Celtic Manor; the video has since been uploaded onto YouTube where it’s gone viral, attracting a massive 180,000 views in less than 2 weeks.
The Transport Broker Group would like to extend its thanks to everyone who attended this year’s event and made the evening a very special and enjoyable affair. Congratulations to all of the winners, and we look forward to seeing you all next year.
